Masterbuilt Electric Smoker Reviews

Our research team found around 200 online reviews for the Masterbuilt Electric Smokehouse Smoker and a large number of users found this machine very easy to use.

Masterbuilt 20070910 30-Inch Electric Smokehouse SmokerThe Digital temperature control is great. It keeps consistent temperature even on really cold days. You don’t have to open the door to add more wood chips.

There are plenty of shelves so you can smoke a lot at one time, or remove two trays to smoke two large turkeys or hams. Shelving is made so that you can smoke even small items on them and they won’t fall through.

The Masterbuilt 20070910 Electric Smoker is super simple to operate. Turn it on, set the time and temperature, and add a small amount of wood chips every hour or two.

The built-in electronic thermometer is a nice touch and shows you what the current smoker temperature is. You can also run a remote temp probe through the vent in the top of the unit to monitor your meat’s internal temperature as it cooks. The electric smoker puts out a moderate amount of smoke with a very small amount of wood chips.

The smoker does a great job of hanging onto smoke too. You don’t get a smoke ring, mainly because there is not enough carbon monoxide generated from the chips to pick up the outer layer of meat; only wood and charcoal smokers will get you that. The smoke ring offers no more flavors, just a smoke ring.

But some users were unhappy with this Masterbuilt electric smoker claiming that it has a very poor made wiring which results in shorting out. It gets power but the heating element is swapped out, probably due to wiring issues. Heater element burns out and can’t be replaced. The problem is that this machine does not last long and there was not a decent weld or proper rivet throughout the whole smoker.

Although Masterbuilt 30-inch Electric Smokehouse has some issues on wiring, still this smoker impressed most of its users with its ease of use, great digital control and consistent heat.
